Premier Dalton McGuinty’s resignation may be an opportunity for labour unions to negotiate with the government, union leaders said Monday.
“The premier has been talking about hitting the pause button and this is certainty one way of doing it,†said Sid Ryan, president of the Ontario Federation of Labour.

LISTEN UP!
THIS IS A GOOD DAY FOR ONTARIO! McGUINTY HAS BEEN THE MOST AWFUL PREMIER ONTARIO HAS EVER PRODUCED. WORSE CANNOT BE DONE. ANYONE ELSE WOULD BE AN IMPROVEMENT.
maybe now I can start taking an interest again in Ontario politics. this man turned me off so completely I simply stopped reading the papers, listening, looking, paying attention to ontario politics. never had a politician so turned me off..not even skunt Obama.
this man was even worse than Peterson, Rae and Harris before him.
GOOD RIDDANCE!

ABSOLUTELY ACCURATE!
he played the populist but was a rich mans fool. he did quietly soak the middle classes with his policies especially taxation and harmonisation business.
his lies finally caught up with him!

Hudak is scary. He speaks that right wing trailer trash rhetoric which convinces even colour people to vote Tory - just like Rob Ford.
If the Liberals appoint a weak successor (a la Stephan Dion type) then Hudak is poised to win the next election.

White voters have short memories and they are poised to elect the tories in the next election . The NDP will be complict as well if they bring down the liberals
