Ketch.....I always wonder if our ancestors felt the same way once they landed on the shores of British Guiana and found out that there was no streets lined with gold

you think it was as easy to do that as booking a flight on Air India??
many wanted to.....but few made it.
i believe that in order to do that they had to buy out their indentureship.....and none could do that for many years and by then they had started families and going back was not an option.

belle since you grew up from late 50's in gy. you probably knew many india people and they were long done with india
