| THERE has been much debate and discussion about the current status of the PNC/R and its uncertain future and relevance as the second oldest political institution in the country. Many people still hold onto the notion that the party will one day regain its greatness and stature.
Sadly, this is a pipe dream, wishful thinking, false hope. The party that once commanded respect both from its supporters and detractors has now become a political entity in name only. Under the current leadership, the PNC/R has been fatally wounded and is currently heading to the bottom of the Atlantic.
