those guys at that link are all american... and very erudite americans.
they pay attention and know what they talk about. Houston is more theirs than she is ours... closer connection. they 'know' regardles of their levels of 'appreciation' of her.
that was not my concern in linking-up, but the detail, the facts and information they would have of her that we may or may not have been privvy to, but could use in the formation of our own opinions.
houston was no saint...before Bobby Brown... as is the general impression of her, on all that has gone on about her, here up to this point on this thread.
and blac americans appear to not have had any contrary opinion of her all along. they appear to have known Houston had problems, that she and Bobby were 2 of the same kind..and that all else about Houston was media hype by the music industry, calculated to max out the revenue streams she generated.
I have not posted any musical choices of Houstons work because I dont have any. like those commentators, Houston never, ever attracted my ear. I heard nothing in her music, just as I hear nothing in Mariah Carey and Beyonce Knowles.
I dont hate Houston. she was beautiful. but she was not like the old singers, full of meaning and signatory of the blac suffering experience in the USA and in america and achipelago generally.
there is none of that in Houston..in the modern singers. it is all washed out with a focus on bling!
and houston clearly had problems of a long term nature...prolly some childood trauma that was never resolved and led to general self-destructive behaviour that eventurally cost her life.
the question all along is the quality of intervention that occurred in her life.
if I know what I have just said, then they all knew it..those arround her, managers, agents, assistants etc.
it is clear to me, that the music industry would have been interested in no curative for Houston, and probably barred all those who could have really helped her from intervening.
a dead, saintified Houston after all, is more profitable to the music industry than a live one, who had lost her voice
I am not fooled nor amused. nor will I lend myself to to the beatification of Houston for the profit of music corporations, who collectively are the devil itself in human society

The daughter of singer Whitney Houston has been taken to hospital following her mother's untimely death.
Paramedics were rushed to an address in Beverley Hills on Sunday to take the young woman to a Los Angeles hospital.
The reasons for her hospitalisation have not been forthcoming but it is believed she may have been suffering anxiety attacks.
The 18-year-old, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was taken from the Beverly Hills Hilton, where her mother had died in suspicious circumstances a day before.
Coroner's officials have not yet begun the autopsy on Whitney Houston.
They have said they are currently awaiting toxicology results.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
