Madonna is 53...54 in august.
she moved well, looked well for her age. and she did her classics all sweetly arranged which was the deal itself. her classics have stood up excellently
for the first time that show was spectacular but not show-offish, an imperial excess that displayed amrican grotesquirie, very short on art and entertainment, high on the porn aspects of the music and show-making industry
none of that for Madonna. she was well dressed for a show, focused on her music and its presentation. and she caught the eye and the ear brilliantly.
I found myself at attention listening and enoying it for itself, forgetting completly that this was supposed to be the usual superbowl flashpoint, meant to dazzle and impress the planet by american prowess and greatness as a nation.
for the first time they prolly caught the world listening and enjoying rather, than laffing at their grandiose frappery and hypocritical pretensions
