The BCCI is all powerful and soon they will issue an edict that all test playing nations must have flat tracks

HEY snoops I always believed that Lara was the best in my time but after watching all of Viv Richards clips on you tube , there is now no question in my mind that he is indeed the greatest ever

Yes, I've grudgingly come to the same conclusion. It is really quite simple when you see how Viv played pace bowling vs. how Lara played pace. Lara was always susceptible to pace (ie. McGrath's bunny). But Viv absolutely murdered pace - Lillie, Thompson, Imran etc. All without a helmet to boot. Lara is however the best player of spin I've ever seen. The way he played and dominated guys like Murali and Warne will never be matched in my opinion.

He didn't really dominate the best spinner of his time - Abdul Qadir. Qadir had a habit of running through Viv and the Windies for paltry scores. Lara on the other hand absolutely dominated all the great spinners of his time: Warne, Murali and Kumble.

For sentimental reasons I wish Sachim makes a century as he fades away in the sunset
