Guyana police, from the Enmore Police Station, assaulted a family for playing loud music. Attempts by the family to video the proceedings were stymied by the police but neighbors videoed the proceedings. The Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner Royston Andries-Junor stated that assault "was a reaction after being cuffed and kicked by the said female, which, of course, is not captured in the video". What a video maker indeed! It captured what happened before and after the female supposedly cuffing and kicking the police (apparently simply allowed her to do so without restraining her), including police breaking a window to enter the building, but not the actions by the female. In any case is the female assaulted the police why were other family members assaulted? Wonder whose lives matter here?

On June 19, 1865, Gen. Gordon Granger read the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas, marking the day the last enslaved people in the U.S. were freed. With recent protests and the Black Lives Matter movement, calls to make Juneteenth a federal holiday are gaining momentum.
Plus, John Bolton fired back at President Trump after the president unleashed a firestorm of critical tweets about his former national security adviser and his new book, "The Room Where It Happened." Bolton says he thinks Trump is worried about Americans reading his book.
And President Trump will hold his first campaign rally since the pandemic began on Saturday. Tens of thousands of people are expected the attend the rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where organizers say masks will be provided, but not required.
