Indians in Guyana are stupid as stupid does.  They know that blacks will ALWAYS vote PNC/APNU - NO MATTER WHAT!  Why?  Because blacks know who will butter their bread best.  Now, the Indians should also know who will butter their bread best - the PPP/C.  But yet they chose to split their vote and risk a PNC gov't.  Can you say STUPID!?!?!  I seriously hope that the PNC and AFC veto as many bills as possible and threaten as many non-confidence motions as possible.  Basically stall the friggin country from making any progress for the next 4-5 years.  Let the idiot Indians who voted AFC learn the hard way why it's important (in Guyana politics at least) to know who will butter your bread best.

There were traitors even in 64 when they voted for the UF. look how great that turned out!!!

Freedom House - The people have spoken. The PPP/C has secured the Presidency of Guyana – Mr. Donald Ramotar will be the seventh Executive President of Guyana. Our nation is once again on the road to progress.

But those of you, our supporters who did not go out to vote simply because you felt our party's victory
was a foregone conclusion now recognize how close this indifference came to nearly des...troying all the gains made since 1992.

It might almost have been the last free and fair election you would have experienced had the worst outcome been realized.

The results of the general election 2011 while victorious are indeed a disappointment but they are also a timely reminder to all and sundry of what indifference almost cost you and your country.

In fact, we lost one seat by six votes which would have assured us a working majority in the National Assembly.

Sadly, elements of the opposition have misled its supporters into believing that they were cheated.

Consequently, thousands came on to the streets leading to threats against many of our supporters as the true face of the opposition once again revealed itself when they don't win and refuse to accept the will of the people.

Let the lessons be truly learnt, pass the message on, recruit each supporter, every patriot, let them know how critical it is to protect the democracy we all fought so long and hard for.

The PPP/C wishes to thank its members, supporters, volunteers and activists for their hard work and urge all to stay alert.

We also wish to once again restate our determination to work tirelessly with each and every single Guyanese to achieve our collective dream of securing the future for our nation.

This is Guyana's time. Let us recommit to the future. Let us renew the faith in our party as we continue to work together in the interest of Guyana's progress.

The Presidency secured by the PPP/C in the general election of 2011 is an opportunity we must not let slip as we continue to modernize our country and unite the people of Guyana. This is a wake-up call to the nation. Hear it. Respond, now!
