these were the conditions that I grew up under and I must admit that looking back , they were the happiest  times of my life . This does  not mean that one should just accept his lot in life , but with a little assistance from govt people can be lifted out of poverty and that is why the only choice is the PPP.

Because she can! People, and I am not singling you out, have to stop trying to determine what is good for others. If she wants to smoke and drink, and do whatever else she wants to then why should that bother anyone? Did she ask anyone to care? Did she ask anyone for anything? Just askin....

sleeping under the stars , outdoor  cooking with no carbon based fuels, the stuff in the pot is mostl likely organic. T hese people were long into the environmental movement before  it became fashionable, No need for heating and lighting .The air they breathe is fresh.
In co called  developed societies , they work like dogs for 5 days and go camping  on the weekend  to relieve stress  . 
Yes it is luxury

You preach it brother kwami...tell them about the wealth of poverty...it allows you the luxury to look at things in a totally new dimension. 

HHI or human happiness index is a far better guage  of the human condition than GNP or  GDP etc,

But who measures whose happiness? And how can we posit that there is something such as HHI???
