When you make statements like this it is either you really believe this (and I doubt it very much for you seem like a well informed guy) or you are just pandering to the sentiments of those who are gullible. Nowhere in the world is muslim rights more protected, even in muslim countires. You don't see muslims slaughtered everyday here. To come and assail this country because it enforces laws against boorish behavior, against a man who preyed upon his own society, sent innocent people down the path of poverty with a begging bowl, and put many familes into untold misery has nothing to do with his religion, but all to do with his action. Check and see how many muslims were arrested for such crimes? If the government wanted to target muslims they would find easier means than to go through the pains in prosecuting Ed. Now the jury is still out on whether he is guilty or not, but stop parroting this nonsensical idea that Ed is being persecuted because of his religion.
I expect to see many more arrests and more jailing in the Guyanese community, and I don't give a rat's ass if the person happens to be Jesus or Raam.

my defence of Amhad has nothing to do with guilt or innocence but rather to atone for my anti muslim rants which I do now and then to generate controversy

Ed's behavior, however boorish, should be be blamed on his religion. Hence there is no need to besmirch his religion. Greed has no religion.
But I see that you have made your point re: atonement.
