What is ridiculous is when some jackass with a "Muslim" name..whatever the hell that is..goes on public tv or whatever..but does NOT know arabic or the roots of the language of the qur'an...against a qualified non-Muslim academic who DOES know arabic...that sets the stage for some really good arse whupping.

What I have a problem with is the bloke who tries to convince me that "religion" causes violence. (And if we somehow abolished religion, there would be no more wars, terrorism and other forms of nastiness.) As my grandpa might say, "Religion by itself don't nuthin'."

Ali, however if we abolish religion, then there will be a reduction in wars, and violence and terrorism. Because after all, we will reduce our differences and celebrate our oneness. Religions by definition alienate people by trying to dismiss the non-believers. It segregates the people by vying for the resources. And destroys trust and harmony in the process of indoctrination. Even the gods of some religions despise the non-believers.
And to that you add some crazies who are willing to destroy the earth in the process of gaining heaven and then you see what we have today....a colossal mess of ideologies incongruent to the modern society.

Kindergarten analysis for kindergarten believers seem appropriate. One has to make an effort to reach their audience.

The real issue is NOT have it USED as a justification for wars.
Politics will ensure that does NOT happen
and its up to responsible citizens to tell their Leaders
Example all amricans should say to the Party that WANT their Vote :
" Get de Fock outta the Middle East"
or no votes.....
we all know that the USA base in saudi arabia was the cause of bin Laden

No one uses religion as a basis for war. We have had border disputes, and that is purely nationalistic. The religionists seize every opportunity to rally the dimwits with cries of religious persecution. Thankfully the modern world has had their fill of this nonsense...and steps are in place to stop this cancer from spreading in a civilized society. I am not sure how successful that will be. Only today we see an educated man acting out of sheer buffoonery. What goes? They should deport this jackass and set a precedent. if you are not in conformity to civil behavior, do not expect to live in a civil society. Send his sorry ass back to Benghazi.
Missouri teaching assistant accused of attacking teen relative over hijab
By Associated Press
November 30, 2015 | 9:13am
COLUMBIA, Mo. — A University of Missouri graduate teaching assistant is accused of grabbing a teenage family member by the hair and pulling her out of school because she wasn’t wearing a traditional headscarf worn by some Muslim women.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports 53-year-old Youssif Omar was arrested Wednesday at his home on suspicion of felony child abuse. He was released from the Boone County Jail after posting $4,500 bond.
Police spokeswoman Latisha Stroer says officers were called to Columbia’s Hickman High School Tuesday after Omar became irate when he noticed a 14-year-old family member not wearing a hijab.
Stroer says Omar grabbed the girl “very violently by the hair†and pulled her outside and down some stairs.
Omar didn’t immediately respond to an email Sunday seeking comment.
