SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (AP) — A Navy medic who went AWOL at Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base Wednesday left a note in his quarters claiming he planted bombs at a nearby high school, forcing the evacuation of 3,200 students and 180 staff members on the first day of school. Authorities, however, did not find any explosives on an initial sweep but are continuing to search the large campus.
