Ford Focus ranked as world's top-selling car; Toyota Corolla second

An American automaker has the top-selling car in the world -- the Ford Focus.

Research firm R.L. Polk & Co. said Ford Motor Co. sold 1,020,410 Focus models worldwide last year. About a quarter of the sales were in the U.S.

The Focus beat out the second-best seller -- Toyota’s Corolla with sales of 872,774  -- by a wide margin.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the Bimmer for a RAV4. 8)

Especially back to cheap plastic.  I was looking at an off lease 2010 X3 with only 40,000 KMs at Mississauga BMW the other day.  But it didn't have some of the features which I can no longer do without.  Most important of which is heated steering wheel.

I'm telling you, of all the features in my car the one I absolutely cannot do without is the heated steering wheel.  On those cold -20 degree mornings it's like a warm blanket on your hands.

The original owner of that X3 did not opt for the winter/cold weather package, hence it did not have the heated steering wheel or mirrors.  Oh well, I'll keep my current ride for a few years longer I suppose.
