In Spring...
I need to hear the wind sighing in the trees,
I need to hear the crows cawing in the breeze.
I need to see the cardinal, always on high,
I need to see the wild geese flying by.

#2
I need to feel the cold rain patting on my face,
I need to feel the damp earth; it anchors me in space.
I need to plant seeds and watch them grow,
I need to see the clear forest creek flow.

#3
I need to hear the robins calling for rain,
I need to see the bugs and worms, all born again.
All these things I need if I want to be me,
The beauties of the earth, forever free.
