The Bali government is reminding tourists not to travel in Bali during Tuesday’s Hindu holiday of Nyepi because no transportation will be available.
“[Foreign] tourists who want to spend holiday or Indonesian people who plan to go to the gods island should bring forward or delay the schedule a day [before or after Nyepi], because on that day all means of transportation will be paralyzed,†spokesman of Bali government I Ketut Teneng said on Tuesday, as quoted by Antaranews.com.
He said that all flights to and from Ngurah Rai International Airport and boats crossing to and to Bali’s coasts would stop operating for 24 hours during Nyepi starting on Tuesday, March 12, at 6 a.m. local time.
