Quote: That Rev Al Bundy only sing the praises of indo cricketers at the exclusion of all others , I happen to believe that Rohan Kanhai and Alvin Kallicharran were among the greatest batsmen ever
You know there is some truth in what Jala is saying here. Except I would say Rev Is very clear on his absolute admiration and bias towards Shiv so agree or disagree you know his agenda.
However where Jala is different as he is either an agent provocateur or is clearly misinformed about Hunte, Hillaire, Gibson, Sammy 4!ways love square.
To compare Johnson to Roy Fredericks is just silly but an opinion nonetheless less. I have only seen Tage on streaming and he looks a nudger but he is in good company with Gomes, Wessles, Dravid etc. I think it is more Than a name as he has proven himself at age group level upwards much like Brathwaite.
In terms of selfishness, I also tend to agree with Jala as was quite evident most recently in NZ when Shiv was batting with the tail. That said one of the most selfish batsmen I have ever seen is Boycott who treasured his wicked so much he ran many out. I do not think Shiv does that but he is not the best of runners at times. Shiv also genuinely looks happy when his team mates do well. Samuels is quite a selfish batsman, more so than Shiv in my view.
I am however a great admirer of Shiv for his industriousness, achievements and his loyalty to the team.
However unlike Jala, I do not get the opportunity to see these youngsters live frequently.
Like Rev you know exactly what to expect from Jala.
