For a couple of apparent intelligent guys you lot do come across as uneducated and misinformed by the NRA and anti Obama camp.
The fact is that Obama and many are talking about military style weapons in the hand of citizens. Those are the ones that have frequently been used for mass murder. Nobody in the administration is talking about banning all weapons. So pull yourself together and stop being brainwashed by the NRA false reporting.

seriously...
a very large majority of gun owners agree with limiting magazine sizes. obama has been the most lenient in president in terms of gun legislation. the nra does not represent gun owners, they shill for weapons manufacturers.
majority of gun owners are responsible citizens. as for smuggling etc, bad people will always have guns.
Gun ownership inthe U SA are driven by racial fear. Statistics shows that over 90 % of guns are purchased in sub urban areas where crime is almost non existant .
White people fears black people and guns are for the protection from them
On the same token guns are flooded into urban areas so that black people will kill each other and these gun crimes are hardly ever investigated.

when i made my first gun purchase, i was persuaded by both white and black ppl to purchase. not once did any of your pts come up.
my story adds no merit in the same way your made up fact about fear does. is it hard to believe that most gun owners aren't neo-cons, radical racists, etc. we are just taking advantage of our rights.

this post makes sense for the most part.
last week I posted a link to a long piece by Ismael Reed, a significant african american writer, who tried to establish a claim that fundamentally, white people have guns in america for the express fear of black americans. while I suspect that has some veracity to it, I cannot for all I have tried, see it as a basic reason americans own guns.
the basic reason for ownership of guns is out of american revolutionary experience and for that reason enshrined in their constitution as the right to bear arms first and foremost against a government that has gone rogue, tyrannical
more basic reason is self-defense, protection of home and family, against crime...to which all people have a right.
Ishmael Reed has chosen to attach himself to Obama's coat-tails, using his skill and experience to protect Obama, as well as creating base for acceptance of Obama's policies among black people who read his work.
that Obama has appeared soft on legislation to take away the guns and the right to own them is pure politics. that does not belie Obama's real position on the issue.
Obama is a muppet, Jewish sock puppet, yellow bellied mongrel, who is the first Jewish president of the USA..not the first black. far from it. there have been at least 5 and probably more black presidents of the USA.
whatever Jews want in the USA they get. and Obama is their #1 facilitator.
so on gun legislation, confiscation... the american Jewish power is not using Obama as point man. Look to the evil ZIONIST woman Diane Finestein for that. look to other mains supports..and they are all Jewish. it is safe to say that today no policy comes out of the american congress....a wholly owned Jewish subsidiary... that has not been crafted by, and set in motion by Jews, for Jews, in america, the world and Israel.
again: Obama's supposed 'soft' movement on guns is just political ploy. it may be that he cant afford to be seen as tuff on guns as president..if indeed he is politically soft on guns. that is not the impression I have.
we are sure to see Obama's fangs after Finestein and others ploy and craft their way to legislation to ban guns..if his fangs are not already seen somewhere
Here is a blurb on the coming legislation. this is much different than what i had read previously about the proposed law. I read where Feinstein was going after all the guns. anyway, I am sure by the time the bill is finished it will hardly resemble this blurb
Quote:Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), author of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban that expired in 2004, announced on Sunday that she will introduce updated legislation early next year.
“On the first day of the new Congress, I intend to introduce a bill stopping the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of assault weapons as well as large ammunition magazines, strips and drums that hold more than 10 rounds,†Feinstein said. “I am in the process of gathering support for the bill in the Senate and House.â€
“I have been working with my staff for over a year on this legislation,†Feinstein added. “It will be carefully focused on the most dangerous guns that have killed so many people over the years while protecting the rights of gun owners by exempting hundreds of weapons that fall outside the bill’s scope. We must take these dangerous weapons of war off our streets.â€
I believe that white male in america are gun obsessed to make up for their feeling of inadequacy regarding their male appendage viz a viz black males and with a gun in their hand , something stiff ,solid and powerfull more than makeup for this feeling of inferiority
the basic reason for ownership of guns is out of american revolutionary experience and for that reason enshrined in their constitution as the right to bear arms first and foremost against a government that has gone rogue, tyrannical
