Sperm donor for lesbian couple’s baby ordered by court to pay child support

A Kansas man who donated his sperm to help father a child for a lesbian couple has been ordered by the state to pay child support for the daughter he helped conceive.

William Marotta, a 43-year-old mechanic from Topeka, was targeted by Kansas state officials earlier this year to pay child support for the little girl, who is now 3 years old, after the couple had parted ways, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported.

In 2009, Marotta had responded to an ad on Craigslist posted by Angela Bauer and her former partner Jennifer Schreiner, who were seeking a man to be a sperm donor so they could conceive a child.

This is so unfair to the dude , at least if he was involved in a threesome wid dem 2 lesbians to concieve the child  the pain of  paying would have been somewhat lessened .

It's a problem that has hit a few guys in England as well. You can't even help out people these days without putting yourself in trouble.

I aint  no legal expert but I am sure that order will be overturned on appeal .
If then , that  a man should use a condom and she gets hold of it and through artificial insemination concieves  , he would be liable for clild support?

The lessons here is that sperm should not be discarded  carelessly . better yet leave it in its  original storage place until you are sure that you have a planned conception in mind..
Getting back to the story in Kansas , those women could have easily claimed that no man was involved as it was an imaculate conception.
They would have been believed too as we talking  Kansas here , the middle of the bible belt ,  the land of Dorothy and the wizard of Oz
