there is much good about the westindies..being westindian..drowned out by the corruption of nasty colonialism, still the dominant factor in our social life.


that good about the westindies often finds expression elsewhere, outside the westindies.  it is time we made a home for ourselves.


we have a small area and population but it is diverse population,  not afflicted by infirmity, physical or mental.  we have the brains and physical abilities necessary to make a home for ourselves like no other.


for me alone it has long been time to move.  it is getting late.....

12-year-old boy gets six passes in CSEC
(Jamaica Gleaner) Kuti Ra of Greater Portmore, St Catherine, passed six subjects in this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams at the age of 12. His passes include a distinction in human and social biology.Kuti Ra (Jamaica Gleaner photo)Ra, who will be starting classes at Jamaica College next month, got grade two passes for English A and biology, and grade three passes in geography, mathematics, and social studies. He only recently celebrated an average in the high 80s in his GSAT exams.
Ra was homeschooled, which he said he enjoyed. His mother, Kamau Mahakoe, set a rigid study timetable for him.
“My mother helped me to balance my time. She set the timetable for me and I just followed it,” he said.
Ra seemed at ease, almost nonchalant about his achievement.
“I feel normal like any other time because I was expecting it, and I am hoping to attempt all CSEC subjects by the time I finish school,” he said.
Despite his busy study schedule, Ra makes lots of time to have fun. He enjoys surfing the Internet, reading, and playing with animals. He also uses his spare time to create portraits of animals, which he intends to compile and make into a book some day.

parenting is almost all of it. 

homeschool could also allow a kid to progress much faster.  public education is a holding operation, wasting peoples time by years.

it is intended to mitigate the employment situation....save capitalism 

capitalism cant provide jobs fast enuff so they design school to be slow, to bring job-seekers on-line theoretically when there are jobs for them.

it has nutten to do witH how fast and how much children can actually learn..arrive at the standrads deh supposed to achieve.

HOME-SCHOOLING DOH HAVE TO FOLLOW ANY SUCH DAMM TIME-WASTING  GOALS AND CAN GET CHILDREN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL BY 14-15.

the system is all about preserving itself, concentrating power in few hands. 

it has nutten to do with producing human excellence in response to solving human problems..in the search to win indefinite hunan survival in nature
