MASTER Herbert Lara, who holds an eighth degree black belt in the Tiger System karate, has joined the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) Technical Committee.
Lara, who took up the sport over 40 years ago, under Grand Master Junior Wharton, is a member of the Tiger System Karate - International (TSK - I). Lara currently runs three schools, in Curepe, Mt D’or and Petit Bourg, and he will now have the added responsibility of vetting all Tiger System Schools applying to the TTKF.

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) — A grand jury has indicted a DeKalb County man in the death of his 4-month-old daughter from last year.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Keith Furlow was indicted Thursday on felony murder and cruelty to children in the second degree charges. He was accused of providing his infant daughter with a bottle filled with baby formula and vodka.
