as much as plastic bags are a nice convenience and i use them as little as possible.......we now do all our shopping with fabric reuseable bags which i put in the laundry every couple of weeks,.....but i do use plastics for garbage.
they are choking our earth to death
ad:
look at guyana.....plastic and styrofoam has been major culprits in the recent floodings.
would it be so bad to move to paperbags?
i know.....more expensive
but i really like the ones you get at some of the stores.....like La Senza and shoppers cosmetic counter.

the fact is we should have a choice if we want plastic bags or not.
take away the choice and soon enough they will be dictating as to how many children you can have.
and btw....the whole environment thing - is a hoax. its just another way for the govnt to make money.
the council must have decided that if there not going to reap any of the 5cents, they will scrap the bags entirely.
also garbage is put in plastic bags - it doenst eliminate problem. your not going to save the ozone layer by getting rid of plastic bags. maybe if city council concentrated on improving the transit system so that ppl didnt have to depend on their vehicles - that would make a bigger difference than the plastic bags.
