People who choose not to eat animal products :

may be unaware that common medicines could contain them !!  Confusedhocked:

Many tablets and liquid medicines use gelatin, derived from animal bones or skin.  ::eek::

shows a quarter of patients are unknowingly prescribed drugs :

containing gelatin contrary to their beliefs...

If patients are unsure if an ingredient is derived from animals they can seek the advice of their pharmacist....

People prefer not to consume animal products in their day-to-day lives,

either because they are vegetarians,

or for other cultural

OR for religious reasons.....

lots of food has gelatin

i am constantly reading labels in the store

you know i bought a can of VEGGIE BAKED BEANS from the store

i decided to read the ingredients, i am not sure why and there before my eyes in the FRENCH part of the ingredients "BACON"

BACON was not listed in the ENGLISH ingredients but in the FRENCH....

how can BACON be in the can when it says VEGGIE?????????
