these are all  stupid hindu rituals that I totally disagree with , and therein lies the difference/ I can choose to accept and reject as I please  without  being  bound by dogma, edicts or dictates of hinduism

That same logic can be applied to any religion...it doesnt start and stop with Islam.

Ppl can choose to believe and follow whatever they like regardless of what u think.

Your statement was illogical and the principle is absurd.  And I feel the same contempt for every religion not just Islam.  In my view they are all equally stupid and serve only to enslave the mind.
