AND REALTIVE TO SAMMYS CHILDREN... TO BEGIN WITH I DON'T CARE FOR THAT HAS NUTTEN TO DO WITH HIM BEING CAPTAIN.

ON ABILITY AS CAPTAIN AND PLAYER I WOULD NOT HAVE PIK HIM..AN I WOULD DROP HIM NOW

now if Sammy, a man of money decides to carry his five women and children as 1 family, caring for all of them, making sure all the children get opportunity and somewhere in life etc... that is called polygamy...a legit human social institution.

that christianity casts aspersions at polygamy does not make it any less legit.  same way with its opposite polyandry.

and if Sammy carries all his women and children in whatever way he can..that is just as fine as I see it

in early life the first family was the woman with the children.  fatherhood as we know it was unheard of prior to some 15 thousand years ago...which means that of human social artifacts fatherhood is one of the newest.

what ketchim is talking about here is the still on-going fight by men to legitimise the fatherhood..to make the fatherhood necessary when it never was, and it is still not likely essential. it may be necessary in society for a man and society to know his children so he can participate in financing their upbringing etc. and otherwise

it may be crucial for society to work out ways relevant to modern society to ensure woman have all that is needed to carry out their lives including the socially vital job of having children.  but nowhere in there exists an essential need for a father as we know fatherhood.

and here is a crucial factoid for countries like canada, the usa, russia etc.  the 'traditional family with the professional father and mother has contributed to falling rates of population in all those countries.  indigenous rates are highest among single mothers.  were it not for them the population loss of all those countries would be serious indeed..disastrous.

sure we shud be tired of analysis...but of the limited nonsense that passes for analysis...we have a huge reality to deal with that is in crisis, that is interdependent, no part separate form the other, no part that can be critiqued in isolation from the totality.

jACKIE gRANT was made captain of the west indies early 19 thirties..

because he was white it was alright?

his brother Rolph after him was made captain unjustly in 1939...again the example?

in 1948 an ungodly mess was made to deny Headley, a black man,  the captaincy.

and John Goddard was made captain in 1949 through 51.  again example?

there was stollmeyer, a justified pik on experience.

and dennis atkinson was captain wiht the 3 W's in the side.

..Aleaxander with 2 tests to his name was made captain in 1958...with walcott and weekes in the side.

.KETCHIM BETTER WAKE UP FOR THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE HE IS COMING FROM

Did ALL these Captains with the EXCEPTION of Viv , the Pan Afican:

fathered Multiple pickneys with different Women and then abandon de off spring ?

to continue as you do, ignoring my points suggest you have some sort of problem wit black me fathering children out of wedlock...or is it fathering children period?

it is not only black men who do that...and leave the mothers to fend for themselves.  millions of white american males do the same.

and white men in the west indies bred black women as a rule and walked away leaving them to fend for themselves.,  do you see the amount of red people in the west indies?  did they just appear like that?

BY YOUR STANDRADS KETCHIM....there are no more dastardly, irresponsible bastards in the west indies in this fatherless business than white west indian males..disgusting.

and Indo males are not exempt.  there were few Indo women brought in the earlies in indenture.  Indo men found blacK women.  they would have not survived otherwise.  now look at current indo male attitudes to black WOMEN.,..THEIR FORMER SAVIOURS

Sammy is a terrible captain and player but the man is a player where it counts
