One would reasonably assume they will be better placed to make an effort to get it right.

Do you recall Kallicharan's account of abuse from his teammates?

#182

You would not be far mistaken if you think, blacks do believe ownership of cricket in the region is theirs alone.
[/quote] It seems that blacks cannot own anything ,
Rightfully blacks do own cricket in the Westindies and they share it with others .
It seems that some would only be happy when Blacks are being owned like in slavery

With ownership and influence come responsibility. In that responsibility you do not exercise the sort of prejudices dished out in another context.

The ownership of cricket in any region should belong to its people and in the context of the West Indies it's people are not just blacks.

Relating this back to the thread, for Kallicharan and others be subjected to racist behaviour shows those to whom prejudice was practiced have not learnt.

Kalicharran went through nothing compared to Black players who were repeatedly called Niggers whenever they toured white countries .
Most of the posters here has selective outrage

Being called a colley is not the same as being called a nigger .' Indos in  Guyana define themselves as colleys and I think that Kalicharran  was overly sensitive
