Day 1 : Rain stop play ~

It was a disciplined, defiant display of batting
by Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul
as they took West Indies to 112.
Both batters are rather symmetrically poised on 55.
The Zimbabwe bowlers, on their part, were also disciplined,
especially the pacers.
Loose deliveries were few and far in between

Ngarava to T Chanderpaul, FOUR!!!! Banged in short outside off
Chanderpaul moves across and pulls him in front of square to bring up
His second Test FIFTY!

He continues his impressive start to Test cricket

Ngarava to T Chanderpaul, FOUR !! Another short ball and another boundary!
Back of a length ball outside off and Chanderpaul again moves across
and pulls it through the gap. It's a slow outfield, but he timed that well enough
for it to go all the way

#5
"You have to be patient up front.
The guys were bowling well so you have to dig in
and score when you can,"
says Chanderpaul

Nyauchi to T Chanderpaul, Maiden Test century for Chanderpaul!

What an innings, what a knock! Keeping that name flying high .

On a length on middle and leg, he tucks it behind square for a single.
Removes his helmet and has a wide smile on his face.
This is the first time since 2012 both West Indies openers
have scored a century in the same innings!
