1st Test, North Sound, Mar 8 - 12 2022, England tour of West Indies
That's tea. Just the one wicket for West Indies in this session, that of Ben Stokes. Batting got easier as the movement off the seam came down. It's still there though, and it's swinging too, as Seales showed when he got the inswinger to go late to knock over Stokes. The breakthrough came at a time when the Stokes-Bairstow partnership was growing, having put on 67 together. But since then, Foakes has batted well and Bairstow continues to battle on. We'll be back for the final session shortly.
155 - 5 after 55
Seales to Bairstow, FOUR runs
delicate from Bairstow, opening the face on the back foot, and bring on the dancing horses, England have reached 300! Guided through the cordon, down to third man

305/9
311. a nice score. can west indies fight back
The pitch is getting a roll, Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell out in the middle - both are in a bit of form, Campbell making a hundred and Brathwaite a career-best 276 in the same match at Kensington Oval last month
Brathwaite, FOUR runs
even fuller and draws the drive... which whistles through mid-off! Woakes looking to get this new ball swinging, but he pays in the form of runs. Crisply clipped down the ground

The West Indies openers walk off in purposeful mood after comfortably seeing off that mini-session. It's been a solid comeback from the hosts this morning, despite Jonny Bairstow's mighty 140, corralling the last four England wickets for the addition of 43 runs and then posing plenty of questions for Joe Root about the wisdom of entrusting the new ball to Messrs Woakes and Overton. Woakes, in particular, looked cowed rather than invigorated by the demands of filling in for James Anderson and/or Stuart Broad, and the runs flowed during a leaky 45 minutes. With Kraigg Brathwaite in fluent touch
