Compelling argument, and as usual, being an intelligent man, Gilad asks more questions than presumes to provide answers. As a final statement on his speculation, his last paragraph hits the nail on the head:

This statement, and the author’s hypothesis of the virus as an unstable organism that may already be breaking down, brought to mind a very recent brouhaha in France. About 10 days ago Dr. Luc Montagnier, the French virologist who first isolated the HIV virus (before being railroaded by the thuggish US Dr. Robert Gallo, via interminable lawsuit threats, into “sharing” credit for discovery with Gallo, and thereafter sharing the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the discovery), gave a radio interview in France in which he claimed 1) that, after examining the virus, he could see that it was indeed a human, genetically modified creation; and 2) that, being such, it would be unstable and wouldn’t last long, because such artificial, lab-created genetic collages are unstable in nature, which quickly breaks them down.
You can’t imagine the media firestorm the good (and brilliant) doctor’s claims unleashed. Quack! Fake news! Conspiracy theory! (It is also interesting that there was no mention of this that I know of in the US media.) I should add as well that Dr Montagnier, being indeed an honest scientist, has long been critical not only of the predatory pharmaceutical industry but also of the excess imposition by governments of aggressive vaccination programs of dubious merit and increasingly insufficient safety, as the present neoliberal mindset of those in power tends to shun such safety trials as excessive and costly.
And so, Gilad, here we have a “creative thinker” such as you mention in your last paragraph, indeed a Nobel laureate, who has given his honest opinion, only to be attacked by the appointed flash mob of official smearers and shills for industry and government. And his finding is remarkably similar to your conjecture, with the added bonus of being buttressed by a lifetime of clinical virological experience. Will anyone listen to him? So far, it’s simply, and dangerously, been “business as usual.”
We have to hope that reality, and nature, will bring the criminals down, and hard, since it seems that nothing else–no reasoned argument, no plea for humanity–will suffice.
