In what marks a major shift of its position on the March 2nd general elections, the APNU+AFC coalition yesterday alleged that “clear and unmistakable patterns of irregularities, discrepancies and worse have emerged” following day five of the national recount of votes.
This position enunciated in a press release comes despite the fact that it has repeatedly said that it won the general elections and had expected that the incumbent David Granger would have been sworn in again as President shortly after March 2nd.
As recently as May 4th, Granger in welcoming the recount said that the General and Regional Elections of March 2nd were free, fair and orderly.
So many people want to give David Granger the benefit of the doubt. The revelation of the letter from foreign affairs to the US ambassador refusing permission for the Carter Center to observe the recount proves that the rigging is being centrally directed and that Granger is the head of the rigging cabal. In February he and his cabal demanded I withdraw a statement exposing his dishonesty, indecency and lack of integrity. I refused to withdraw it. This is further proof he is the head of the rigging cabal.
The World Bank has reached a milestone in its quest to ensure countries respond effectively to COVID-19. Its emergency operations to fight COVID-19 have reached 100 developing countries. But Guyana is excluded.
It has been more than two months since Guyana went to the Bank with open arms, asking for US$5M to aid its COVID-19 response. There has been no response.
