After another ton today (back to back tons vs Ireland and Bangladesh), Shai Hope now holds the record for the fastest West Indian to 2000 runs. Viv Richards did it in 48 innings, Hope did it in 47. Lara did it in 50 or so. The world record is 40 innings, by Amla.

Hope's looking real good in ODIs - great running, gap finding, and he constructs his innings well - but it's hard to properly gauge him. 6 tons at 25 years of age is remarkable, but 5 of those were vs minnows. Fingers crossed for the World Cup.

Too many low SR bats around Shai Hope

He needs to up his SR : to get us a team WIN

Otherwise his Tons will be just a footnote !

Shai Hope SR of under 75 after those # of Innings is Mediocre !

We just gotta 'Hope' that Gayle, Hetmeyer and Russel gives us an SR of 125 - 145 and Up !
coupled of course with 50s and tons ~
