Man torches house during argument

A Grant 1802 Crabwood Creek man is on the run after torching his home, leaving his wife and three children homeless.

According to information received, at around 13:00 hrs on New Year’s Day, Shazam Silvanesh, 31, was involved in an argument with his wife Shameeza
Silvanesh, 27, when he made the awful decision

The woman told Guyana Chronicle that her husband accused her of having a relationship with his cousin who often rescues her when she is abused by him.

Prior to the fire on January 1, Shameeza related that her husband brutally beat her and kicked her down the stairs while she was pregnant.
