what is wrong with that batting...how to improve it
first drop Powell for any alternative at all. Powell simply is not a good batsman. drop him and forget him.
secondly Hope is for the middle not the top..better even at #3.
Third Jason Holder must bat up the order. Holder is a better batsman than most who come before him. if he is to keep his place in the team his batting must develop. he can do that best by batting up the order
fourth if Hope is going to bat at #3 then take the gloves away and bring in a keeper/batsman...Ramdin or Dowrich
Blackwood must be brought into the ODI/T20 side. he is wasted in tests while the ODI/T20 sides suffer for good batsmen who can score rapidly.
Drop Powell forever, drop Carter forever, move Holder up the order, get Narine and Bravo back, put Chase up the order and let him bowl more, drop Nurse, get Gabriel back, and tell everyone to bowl more extreme slow balls. Feeding medium pace and pace to batsmen looking to score boundaries, doesn't work. Remodel Carlos Brathwaite into a test and ODI player. We've corrupted him into a T20 slogger. He averages well in the test format, but we've convinced him he is some kind of T20 slog-star.
