Scotland yard has done an analysis of the semen samples retrieved from the cow and confirmed that it was from MOOOOhamed . They also found traces of Arab DNA from this Indian  Muslim proving that KETCHEM  was correct with his assertion that Indian muslims has Arab blood in their veins.
Therefore I  can assume that his fondness for animals came from his Arab side and since there  are no goats  or camels in England , He had to make do with cows
