The forecast for the second Test is better than the it was in Kingston, even though rain is expected on the fourth and fifth days. The surface in Bridgetown is generally hard and fast, and if it is overcast, the toss could assume great importance. Jason Holder, the West Indies captain, felt the pitch looked "unusually" dry on the eve of the Test, so spin could play a fairly significant role as the match goes on.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan Saturday said Misbahul Haq and Younus Khan would be offered top roles by the board after their retirement from Test cricket at the end o the ongoing series against West Indies. Test skipper Misbah and ace batsman Younus announced their retirements earlier this month. Last week Younus became the first Pakistan batsman to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket while Misbah also completed silver jubilee of victories as Test captain in the first Test against West Indies. Speaking at a press conference at Pindi Stadium here, Shaharyar said after both Misbah and Younus return from the West Indies, the board would give the duo a proposal in this regard and hopefully they would accept it.
