Phagwah or Holi is once again upon us. Sadly among Guyanese and the celebration continues to be dogged by division of sorts as various religious grouping try to up each other by selecting different days to celebrate, while ironically the very essence of Holi is togetherness and unity. It is about the coming together of all the colors into a gorgeous rainbow of humanity, reveling in the advent of spring filled lives premised on the hankering for good and the jettisoning of evil and promising that each one will help lift up and empower friends, family and colleagues so that we can all be encompassed within the confines of spirituality and oneness.
