For cricket, no doubt !
He BULLIED them for Clive Lloyd to be Captain and the rest is history
[/quote]
but Clive Lloyd, even as captain was a skunt. he was lucky to have had a great flow of players to build a great team.
it was Lloyd's stupidity and eg, his utter unreconstructed and rancid behavior that caused the loss to India the eliminated west indies chances for a WC three-peat..1983
Lloyds disappearance from around the wicb has been a great relief, such a disappointment he turned out to be..a complete idiot that man.
sure he was a great cricketer, made many achievements but he is an idiot as a human being..not a lovable fool either, but one the less you see of him the better.
I now take LLoyds history in advisory..great but in need of careful parsing > > > >
yuh see where Lloyd bat..at #4 which was Gomes Position.
Gomes was padded up and ready to go. Lloyd padded up behind his back and walked out to bat on the fall of the wicket telling no one at all that that was what he intended to do. he simply brushed past Gomes on his way out.
Lloyd wanted the glory you see of taking west indies hope to three-peat and in the process he demoralized his side, turned the whole regular sequence on its head.
that is why west indies never recovered that day. Lloyd messed up the entire flow.
