A literary magazine edited by Albert Gomes in Trinidad between 1931 and 1933.

Clive LLoyd used to bat at 5, then about 2 years after his debut, started batting at 4. Holder should do the same and play primarily as a batsman. As a bowler, batsman and captain, he has far too much on his plate.

Carlos, Holder and Sammy happened over 2 wicb administrations
what is also common about them is that personality/ability wise they fit what the wicb administrations that appointed them. their personalities do not challenge the status quo..and by ability they would be and are dependent on the admin that selected them.
as players they cannot stand on their own for selection. and if they want to play they must toe the line they know they must.
Sammy evolved out of that to ultimately demonstrate grit and strength of character. I don't know if Holder can. and for that reason I doubt he will be removed from the captaincy anytime soon ensuring that he will be end up wasted in a couple of years when his retention becomes untenable.
Holder as I have said already shud save himself and quit the captaincy.
Carlos appears to be a stronger personality and may pull a Sammy though I doubt it. he seems to have less ability than Sammy though he seems very smart. if he gets the test captaincy he would not represent a waste like Holder. he is older and can handle himself. his suck up is genuine. that is his way. no loss there. and he might even be a half decent captain
but I think that these 3 are all ordinary alrounders is just coincidence
