Recently I'm having a tootchache which is absolutely painful and intolerable. I've used some home remedies like putting salt and pepper on my gums, as well as using water and salt as a mouthwash and yet it's still painful. Tried taking medicine but with no luck, doesn't work.

Do you know any remedies that worked or might actually work for toothache?

If it is hurting like that then you have an infection. You'll need antibiotics to stop the pain. Garlic has anti bacterial properties.

Try Valtrex

If you do not have an infection then clove oil can help. In our area mustard which is a common item in most homes is used mixed with table salt for immediate relief but in my views a dentist is the only answer as soon you could spare time.

Tooth ache is one of the worst nightmares I ever had in my life. I tried many home remedies like having mouthful of salt water, applying C=clove powder in olive oil and what not, but nothing actually works.  It does give some relief for a short period of time but it returns after that period.

Then I approached a nearby medical store to get something which is effective against tooth ache.  They gave a new product from Colgate called “Colgate Pain Out” which worked very well.  It is very easy to use, just take a drop of gel and apply it directly on the affected area.  It gives instant relief from the pain and it lasts for a long time.  It is a herbal product so I guess there would not be any side effect.  Now I use it for my kids too and it is very helpful.
