I am curious as to why you think that. West Indies are the current World Twenty20 champions, a tournament that saw Pakistan win only 1 match and failed to make the knockout stages.

West Indies are ranked 3rd in the world. Pakistan 7th.

Over the last year, West Indies have a 77.77% winning percentage (7 wins and 2 losses). Pakistan have a 43.75% winning percentage (7 wins and 9 losses). Of Pakistan's 7 wins, only two came against teams with a higher ranking. And over the last 3 years in the UAE, Pakistan have won 3 and lost 7 matches. Of those 3 wins, only one (against New Zealand) came against a team with a higher ranking.
