It’s my lovely husband’s birthday today and he does like his beer! So I decided Mixed Drinks would be perfect for his card.  I began by inking the back of my Brushstrokes background stamp with delightful dijon, pumpkin pie, old olive and bermuda bay.  I then achieved my main banner by die cutting my stamped cardstock using the Banners Framelits Dies.  I then die cut an accent banner from some gold fabulous foil designer acetate using the same framelits and stapled them both to my card front using my handheld stapler...

On a separate piece of whisper white cardstock, I stamped my mug of beer from Mixed Drinks.
I stamped the beer itself in delightful dijon before brushing the mug with clear wink of stella, fussy cutting this out and adhering it to the bottom of my banner with dimensionals.

To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment from Happy Happenings using two separate stamps from this set – the Happy Birthday and the Handsome from Hello Handsome.  I stamped these in versamark and heat embossed them using gold embossing powder to match the acetate.  Finally, I attached my card front to a whisper white card base and finished with a gold metallic enamel heart.

Happy Birthday Benjy, love you lots

Well that is certainly a creative way to celebrate the birthday, so well done there.  I wish I had it in me to do more creative things like this.  I am sure that being a beer drinker and all he enjoyed it, and I think anything would go well with some pumpkin pie.  Hope you had a great day, and thanks for sharing.
