What Holidays are celebrated in India?

I'm really interested to know this because I live in America, and never actually thought about the holidays that other countries might celebrate. I know Halloween probably isn't celebrated.

But what is? Christmas? Anything else?

Actually I'm very interested to know too. I am in South Africa right now, and I noticed that a lot of the American holidays, including Halloween, are celebrated here. Some people here even celebrate the 'Christmas In July'... I'd love to know what people do in India.

Is that not why we have this forum? There is no one on here from India, but the forum title is "CricketWindies", on top of that I can't connect with google on a personal level.

Fifth time asking a question that I could just search up is irrelevant. Oh hey, thanks for the link, that would've been a sufficient answer to my question all by itself. You're awesome.

[/quote] India has one hundred million people and 90%of them are Christians .
The nos. 1 holiday is  valentines day followed by guy fox night , The third most celebrated is Easter

By asking a question that can be answered with a two second Google search, you are effectively saying, your time is more important than mine, go ahead and do the research for me. It's lazy.



The bigger problem is a vast majority of your posts follow the same trend: post a question that can be answered by a simple Google search. Case in point, you asked the question, Has India ever had terrorism problems? to which I provided a detailed response. I did the research for you, and yet you ignored this, and failed to engage further on the subject matter. So why should I or anyone else continue to answer questions for you to just ignore? I am not the only one to voice this frustration - Ketchim, Nargis and The Captain - all longstanding members of this great forum - have expressed similar sentiments.

As most of us in this thread have admitted, we have very little knowledge as to what holidays are celebrated in India. As you posed the question, perhaps you could do the research and then post your findings here, helping to enlighten us all. That way we all learn something. Just a friendly thought.
