Quote:Got Milk? We sure hope not. Despite being a somewhat tasty addition to coffee, tea, and delectable treats, the ingredient – when pasteurized – is highly toxic to the human body. In fact, physicians such as Dr. Willet, who has conducted many studies and reviewed the research on the topic, believe milk to be more of a detriment to the human body than an aid.

This is because despite popular belief, the food has never been shown to reduce fracture risk. In fact, according to the Nurses’ Health Study, dairy may increase risk of fractures by 50%! This concerning finding is supported by the fact that countries with lowest rates of dairy and calcium consumption (like those in Africa and Asia) have the lowest rates of osteoporosis.

Considering that approximately 3/4 of the world’s population is unable to digest milk and other dairy products, it seems clear the food is not an ideal substance for consumption. However, the average consumer doesn’t know this. From celebrity endorsements to advertisements by the dairy industry, most have been taught to believe that dairy is an ideal food for optimum health.

Because there’s so much misinformation surrounding the subject, Vox recently created a video which illustrates the facade of the dairy industry. One of the points made is that despite the fact that consumers can get the daily recommendation of calcium, potassium, and protein from fruits and vegetables, the dairy industry has spent billions of dollars to convince the populace otherwise.

If you were taught that one must drink milk to grow up “big and strong,” you’re not alone. However, now is the time to get educated on the facts.

What a load of bollox. If milk was bad for you, God would not have made it the primary source of food for a new born.

The name of the site alone is putting me off. If you have to say 'true' it's probably not. Wink These alternative news sources love to tote themselves as being more honest and reporting things the media supposedly doesn't want us to know.

Bunch of conspiracy theorists with nothing else to do.

I'm not jumping on that topic, I don't see why people find these weak stories to promote for their sites. There is nothing wrong with milk, I actually drunk half a gallon of milk yesterday. First we are told that milk is calcium and makes our bones much stronger, now it's not like that? WTF.

Now I'm not going to say whether we need it or not, but I know it's important enough for the body, so I'm going to keep drinking it.

another silly mind.  human mothers milk and cows milk....dairy..are 2 different milks.

the article is not even saying milk is not nutritious.  it did say pasturized milk is toxic for humans... and it is.

what the article does say is that cows milk is not essential for human health....far from it..and that the form we are sold cows milk in is toxic...pasturized/homogenized.

if you are going to use cows milk use it natural, from the cows breast to the table.  when you heat it all to hell up you kill all the good in it and turn its consistenty into harmful effect on the human body.

that is true!

dragon lord you are chin too..socafighter and a million more. more like locofighter.

I have known for over thirty years that cows milk is not the best..certainly not an essential food.

my daughter was born with an impossible allergy to cows milk.  it would not stay down.  that is an allergy she still has more than thirty years later.  and she is fine in her life without milk

I stopped drinking milk a few years ago when I discovered that humans are the only mammals that keep drinking milk past the age when they stop suckling from their mothers. No other mammal drinks milk all the way into adulthood, and guess what, none of them have even half of the diseases and health problems that we have created for ourselves because of our diet.
