Yes, he literally can't bat.
I've been saying this forever. He has 2 and a half shots: an off drive and an occasional cut or lofty forward drive.
He is too preoccupied with poise and technique. He needs to loosen up, move more (especially to his left, before each delivery), nudge the ball more and play more instinctively and aggressively. He premeditates to a fault, and deliberately omit too many shots for fear of getting out.

He's too afraid of looking ugly. He needs to move more, fidget more and loosen up, the opposite of all our other batsmen. The speed of T20 will actually work well for him. He should play more of it.
It's annoying, because he's obviously focussing very hard and diligently on his game. I've never seen a man look so constipated.
