**** England v Sri Lanka at Riverside ****

A stubborn innings from Herath, but eventually the pace and bounce does him in. A nice wicket for England just before the close of play.

Wow, what a remarkable catch that is. Vince parries a rocket of a chance and Root is there to dive and swoop it up. Brilliant reactions. 8 down now.

91 - 8 after 40 overs

Stumps, day 2

Sri Lanka 91/8. Another day dominated by England. They add 188 runs to their overnight total and then rip through Sri Lanka like a hot knife through butter. Moeen's acceleration after reaching his fifty propelled England to a mammoth first innings total and then the seamers did the rest with little in the way of resistance once again. I thought Woakes was brilliant in his spell. He hit the seam hard, bowled with great pace and looked to be a real handful.

geeezzzzz this series is so damn one sided de Sacrificial Lambs should just pack up their bags and head home. How and when did they get this terrible?

Post Sangakkarra and Jayawardene.

BUT their 2 main bowlers are Injured !

hope they are back by the 3rd and final Test.

The Lankans' second innings in progress.

Come on lads wrap it up today!

Sri Lanka's openers digging in so far this morning on their second go around. It would be nice to see Finn hit some rhythm and form ahead of the final Test.

Woakes nips out Karunaratne just before lunch. 38/1.
