.......England's innings continues as a collection of impressive but incomplete contributions.....[/quote]

That is a very good way of putting it.

On point again. If it happens for a third time I might have a coronary! Lol.

Double century for Ali. Calling it now.

A good session for England: 98 runs added for the loss of two wickets, admittedly aided by some poor fielding. Woakes proving to be an adequate substitute for Stokes with the bat and Moeen crafting and grafting his way towards a century. Would be nice for him to reach three figures after his recent run of form.

Moeen takes England beyond 400

Ton up for Moeen. Well played. He was in need of those runs.

Some very curious field placings from Angelo Mathews. England moving along nicely at 425/8.

Moeen gets a third life. Another dropped catch from Sri Lanka today. They were so great I my he field yesterday but haven't shown up today. I would expect Moeen to hit out now he's brought up his century.

Herath becomes the third Sri Lankan to take 300 Test wickets. A massive achievement following in the footsteps of Murali and Vaas.

England 472/9. Moeen running out of partners.

Hope Anderson lasts a few more hours so Moeen can go bigger.
