On point.

Root double century coming up. I'm calling it now.

Goat mouth the chap TD  :-[

64.5  Pradeep to Root, out of nowhere! Root has spooned to cover.

Root c Silva b Pradeep 80.

233 - 5 after 69 overs

67.4 Siriwardana to Vince, another ripping catch and another giveaway from England !

Bairstow double century. Calling it now.

New Ball taken after 80 overs

Current partnership  52 runs, 13.4 overs, RR: 3.80 (Ali 21, Bairstow 30)

Mental :couple overs to CLOSE of Play

86.2
Pradeep to Bairstow, whoops! has a chop outside off to a ball that kept a bit low,

England's innings continues as a collection of impressive but incomplete contributions

Bairstow c †Chandimal b Pradeep 48.

Bairstow departs just before the close of play. A big wicket for Sri Lanka that at least keeps them in the match and gives them some fresh hope of rolling England over early in the morning.

England batsman getting starts but can't go on and post a big century. Still, a decent day for England. Good to see Moeen get some runs after a lean spell.

England 297/6.
