Was he a good coach?

In west indian terms ? I'd say he was.

Roach, Taylor Fidel and Tino : IMO are NOT coachable

and of course Curtly was merely a "Consultant"  Wink

and I think of him highly with Guyana CPL Warriors.

Curtly Ambrose:

'I spoke to Phil Simmons, and he told me that he wanted someone who is more technical

to work with the fast bowlers'            .

"So, I said to him well, if you knew I was doing a poor job, then you should have told me.

He said no, I did a fantastic job, because I brought a high level of discipline to the team,

and I have motivated the guys quite a bit....................

opiss is ready

I don't know if he was but I suspect he was not. I think I understand what Phil means when he said he wanted someone more technical.

I don't think Ambrose really studied the mechanics of fast bowling. He was just a gifted bowler who never needed any coaching. It is difficult for great players generally to succeed in coaching

Well I dont know what the heck he means.

I think bringing discipline and motivation to a bunch of 3 day Losers :

is waaayyyyy more Technical :

than coaching a Fast bowler to deliver in the Corridor of Uncertainty ...

Here , show 'em where to deliver with Colour Codes  ;D
