There has been this report that has proposed the West Indies Cricket Board be dissolved and that some sort of interim committee should be instituted in its place. Frankly, I may not have a problem with some effort to put in place a more effective structure. What I have a problem with, however, is these Caricom Heads who cannot seem to sort out the affairs of Caricom after so many years wanting to regulate the Cricketing activities of the region. My message to them is that politics and sport should not mix and that they should go concentrate their efforts on the affairs of Caricom.
I don't believe that getting rid of the Board and replacing with persons who may be influenced by these politicians is the way to go. There are many other ways of resolving the problem if a concerted effort is made by all the stakeholders, this is what I believe should be encouraged.
