The head of Egypt’s State Information Service believes he has pinpointed the cause of increasing violence and extremism in the Middle East. It’s cartoon cat and mouse duo, Tom and Jerry, he says.


During an address at Cairo University on Tuesday, Salah Abdel Sadek blamed the classic cartoons, which feature comically unrealistic “battles” between a dim-witted cat and cunning mouse, for encouraging young men towards violent actions.

It's good to see how little by little there is more diversity in seats of power, especially in London. I just hope he's mostly liberal because fundamentalists in power are pretty scary, but normal people are backing him up so it's all good.


At least he hasn't said Tom and Jerry causes terrorism so they're in the clear, right?

Well I am not really too familiar with the political scene there in London but I really hope that the election and move-in process, whatever you call it, goes well and without incident.  I can just see something bad happening, but maybe that is just me being cynical and negative again...I just cant help it anymore when it comes to the news.

Oh boy, the muslim community in UK is surely thriving a lot. I think this mayor should preserve an adamant stance towards muslim extremism. A zero tolerance stance I mean, If He is willing to improve the reputation of muslim community in United Kingdom.
