and as I claimed the Indian obsession with race and being white, caucasian.....here is a comment among many in a forum:

Quote:Are the People of India Caucasians? Yes
A visitor, apparently a Black man, questions whether Indians are Caucasians .

All the people of India are Caucasian? Really?

Your post is not making any scientific or anthropological sense. For how can anyone say that a transient people occupying an area of landmass, which is by far not genetically isolated, could all fall into one indefinable racial group, i.e. Caucasoid? It is obvious to almost anyone with a discerning eye that second probably only to Africa proper that the demographics that make up India or sub-continental Asia is very genetically diverse.

Genetically speaking, there in no such thing as a ‘unique Caucasoid racial group’, let alone any evidence that the genetic and phenotypical dominant features observable amongst many so-called “white Europeans” predates any similar or almost identical genetic phenotypes observable or expressed in most of Asia or Africa.

And besides skin color, which in the case of the so-called “white European Caucasian” is the absence of melanin, basically making their skin literally translucent, all other features are easily phenotypically observable amongst other people who have an older and more diverse genetic variation that has been relatively constant for tens of thousands of years (predating that of so-called “white European Caucasoids”).

At best, the so-called “Caucasoid” who are actually a minority of nomadic people that developed in Western Asia, should, as mentioned previously, be a sub-group of some other more ancient people, such as Dravidians, Australoids, or of course Africans.

The archeological evidence shows that the anomalous phenotype of the “white Caucasoid” is not the earliest found even in Europe proper, or better yet Western Asia, and is one of the most recent derivations of Homo sapiens.

Indians that have a broad phenotypic appearance and range of skin color that is similar to that of sub-Saharan Africans, do not have to identify with Africans, that’s their choice.

But it is sad that these same Indians who post here, being some the earliest to migrate out of Africa, acquiesce to European folklore to allow white Europeans to thrust upon them their erroneous and nonscientific racial standards.

These standards subgroup and defines Indians via of an obscure geographic region, the Caucasus Mountains, a region chosen to define the mythological origins of all “white people”, who in all actuality, are actually the Indian’s former colonial masters (what a coincidence).

lots of very interesting comments in this forum

Indians cant accept the evidence before their eyes..their own skin colour..the presence among them of original black people out of whom they come...those who remained untouched by Ary@n invasion.

Indians rumble through genetics, history, anthropology, biology and all related fields going forward, then backwards, right, left and all tangents and angles searching for evidence that they are not black.

in these fields the students apparently are unable to deal even with the truth they prove, which is clear from this forum here.  they apparently bite into everything that leads away from africa following and so what comes out is that there are no answers to the question..at least they have found none, or none they care to admit

I see a puzzle emanating from that forum that makes no sense when all around us the true story of India, and not only India but the whole human species, can be quite easily pieced together by now into plausible whole

Well, all of this is so interesting. India is not a single country, its a continent, so the whole discussion is based upon a lack of understanding on everyone's part.

I have yet to meet an Indian who wants to prove that he is white or black.

And let us understand what Aryan really means, because it sure as hell doesn't mean white! The word aryan is sanskrit and pre-dates a civilized and organized white population. The word is 7000 years old at least - Europe was still living in caves back then.

Historically, there was never an aryan invasion as in there never was a white or central asian invasion of any kind in 3500 BC as the British and Germans tried to prove for so long: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/india...63645.html

And Here is what happened to Alexander the Gay. Here is what actually happened vs. what they kept telling people for years: http://in.rbth.com/blogs/2013/05/27/mars...sion_25383

The first and only invasion from the Russian clan of Kushanas who ruled parts of Afghanistan and what is today Pakistan. So, the whole invasion theory falls on its face.

In fact, it was quite the reverse. Multiple records have now been found to prove that Indians had invaded much of the western world, and the invasions were not always military.

Linguistics: Languages across the "Indo-European" belt is the same or similar, but not because as Max Mueller proposed people had travelled to India from Europe. Archaeological finds show that Indo-European languages first developed in India. Much like the Chinese and other Eastern languages developed in what was known as Tibet.

Religion: Again, Europeans simply could not face facts. There was this single religion across India, Egypt, Middle East, and Europe. Anyone who has the time to study will find that paganism, hinduism, and all are the same religion.

Study the Sun temples of India, the temples of Ra in Egypt and the pagan temples across Arabia and Tunisia, the Mihira (sun) temple in Armenia(which is still a pagan country), and even as far away as England, and you will realize that its the same temple! Even the names match.

The rituals when pilgrims head for Hajj are the same rituals that Egyptians used to follow and that South Indians follow even today in the cities of Puri and Balaji.

In fact, you can't even define Hinduism or Paganism, or any other ancient "ism". Some people are polytheists, some are atheists, and some are monotheists. Some worship idols, some don't. And these "religions" have existed for millenia. For some reason, they thought it would be fun to group all belief systems that existed in India and call it Hinduism which is funny at best.

Reason why its all the same: Trade by land and sea.

While Europeans may have "discovered" the sea route to India in the 1600s, India had "discovered" Europe long before that. In fact, it was an Indian cargo ship anchored at what is now South Africa that escorted the first European ship (captained by a Portuguese guy named Vasco Da Gama) to the shores of India.

Trade relations have existed between port cities in India, Middle East, Africa, and Europe (mainly Italy and Greece) for well over 7000 years. We know this because of the coins and clay contracts found at said submerged as well as existing ports.

But that's not all. Inter-cultural/Inter-racial marriages were not unheard of at these port cities.

Why the Black or White theories don't fit?

Simple. About 40% of India's current population has descended from the Mongoloid race that trickled in from the East around 12000 BC and have some or all of that race's characteristics. Another 30% of the Population has clearly descended from Africans and are also categorized as Negroids http://blog.world-mysteries.com/science/...the-world/.
About 30% of the population has commonalities with Caucasians including the color of the hair. In fact, I know quite a few people who pass through airport security without a hitch because they look about as Irish as Irish can be.

India is a beautiful amalgamation of people and cultures.
Anyone who ever traveled to India, settled there. Even today, the same thing is happening. Which is more than what one can say for much of the world.

The world is coming back full circle - from India and China controlling 70% of world trade in the 17th century to crashing down to now again controlling world trade. If being a world leader across the board is what a "failed" destiny is, then so be it.

And I find it funny that OP conjectured there might be low self-confidence in India. I think there is a marked superiority complex among Indians that I know, including myself. It stems from amazing academic performances, ascendancy to leadership positions across multinationals, victories on economic, diplomatic and trade fronts, and most importantly a growing ambitious young population that has made politicians actually act on things instead of just talking about them. The future is bright for a country when its political leaders act on a simple tweet from some kid who won't even become a voter for another 4 years.

Chiek Anta Diop mentions that migration/invasion from the explosion of Santorini/Thera in his greak book listed in the the link below:

http://blackhistoryfactorfiction.com/atl...evealed-2/

Quote:In Civilisation or Barbarism (1981), Cheikh Anta Diop has traced its origin to the volcanic eruption which took place in 1420 BC on the Island of Santorini (Thera) in the Aegean. Diop compares this event to the Krakatoa eruption of 1883, which produced tidal waves 35 metre high. Diop describes the catastrophe: "The initial cloud composed of volcanic ash, dust, gas and fumes covered the entire south of the Aegean sea, probably resulting in total darkness for several consecutive days, during which time the tidal wave (tsunami) destroyed the coastline and extinguished lamps, setting fire to towns while the gas and fumes poisoned the population, causing illnesses such as conjunctivitis, angina, bronchitis and digestive disorders." (p. 71-2). Diop poses this real event as the spur to the development of monotheism under the Pharaoh Akhenaten, the cause of the collapse of the Minoan civilisation and the diffusion of Minoan culture in mainland Greece by refugees, the origins of the myth of Atlantis and possibly the so-called 'Ary@n' migration to India.

the other side:  there is no such thing as Ary@n race/Caucasian never meant white

http://world.time.com/2011/12/15/the-ary...-about-it/

Quote:But a new study adds to mounting genetic evidence that no such clear distinction ever existed and that the Ary@ns of Nazi repute — whose identity has also been embraced over the years by some in the Hindu far-right — weren’t as pure (or real) as arch-racialists would hope. Published in the American Journal of Human Genetics by a team spearheaded by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, the article argues the roots of South Asia’s genetic diversity are far older and more complex than the myth of Ary@n invasion would suggest. India Today quotes a few of the study’s triumphant authors:

“Our study clearly shows that there was no genetic influx 3,500 years ago,” said Dr Kumarasamy Thangaraj of CCMB, who led the research team, which included scientists from the University of Tartu, Estonia, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chennai and Banaras Hindu University.
“It is high time we re-write India’s prehistory based on scientific evidence,” said Dr Lalji Singh, former director of CCMB. “There is no genetic evidence that Indo-Ary@ns invaded or migrated to India or even something such as Ary@ns existed.”
